The UK Deloitte Technology Fast 50, this year included eZe Talk at number 15, a Crewe and Warrington based telecoms company that is set to create 40 new jobs in the next 18 months. With a current payroll of 50 this expansion is significant, but then, so too are the figures supporting the expansion. Sales at the company have jumped by 1,547 percent, which also put it at number 87 in the Deloitte Fast 500 EMEA.

The achievement appears to be all the more impressive since the company’s leaders suggest that recent expansion has occurred without a full compliment of staff. Director and founder of eZe Talk, Mike Taitt, said: "We've got to this size without having a full-time marketing team so we'd like to address that.”

He continued: "We also need a new web manager because we are restructuring what we do in and around IT and rather than outsourcing our web management we want to have it here.”

The company has recently started offering mobile services so are looking for sales candidates with experience of this particular market. Fortunately the firm is used to increasing its numbers: "When we moved to our building in Crewe in 2008 we only had six or seven people,” explains Taitt. “Now we have 26, so we've already done quite a bit of expansion here staff-wise."

Competitive prices and the demand from consumers to reduce the cost of their telecom services seems to lie at the heart of eZe Talks’ success. The company has found it easy to undercut the prices of major suppliers and the level of customer service delivered has also impressed customers. 

The company’s leaders remain ambitious and seem keen to consider targeted acquisitions, as well as organic growth. They hope Deloitte’s recognition will help them attract any future finance they need.
