GET TALENT

ROI and technology lead priorities for recruiters.

The Talent Management Trends 2012 White Paper from global market research and consulting firm SIS International Research has identified the increasing importance of return on investment and mobile/online recruitment tools.

With technology offering less expensive and resource hungry methods of identifying talent, it seems web based solutions, social media and mobile platforms not only provide an efficient way to find talent, they also have the benefit of appealing to the current generation of jobseekers. Indeed, social media and mobile platforms – encompassing everything from YouTube to smart phones – are regarded favourably as they increase the pool of applicants an organisation can reach.

Data mining tools and analysis are also proving popular as a way to give a better prediction of an individual’s future within an organisation. Enhancing this prediction seems key to HR and recruiters delivering clear return on investment for their employers which in turn is driving further work in the applicant assessment arena.

Other findings include the fact that large companies now assess candidates earlier in the recruitment process than before, while small to midsize companies assessments tend to focus on candidate quality and culture matches.
