Agenda Screening Services were recently named winners for the “Commitment to People Development” Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Award and have therefore progressed through to the National Finals. The Commitment to People Development award recognises organisations that demonstrate excellence in the promotion and implementation of a learning and development culture.
Celebrating its 20th Year, Agenda Screening Services delivers professional background screening, pre-employment screening and criminal record checks. It’s two key strategic goals, to be a Great Place to Work and to double in size by 2020 are underpinned by its core values of Respect, Reputation and Responsibility.
Investing in people is key, an annual training back account, investment in new and innovative technology and excellent head office facilities enhance efficiency whilst retaining the personal touch. Agenda believes it is important to maintain the family business ethos whilst growing rapidly, giving people opportunities to develop, and recognising great work through their Agenda Values Awards.
Agenda’s staff workforce of over 160 people participate in choosing Agenda’s annual charity, attend Lunch and Learn activities, get their birthday off work, and are offered the opportunity to contribute to ideas forums and other initiatives within the company.
“Agenda is proud to win the regional award for people development. It not only demonstrates our commitment to life time learning but also to genuine people development and promotional opportunities through our career pathways,” said Norman Mortell, managing director. “We are proud of our team and recognise that to deliver a great service you need great people, people with the right skills, motivation and resources, without this we would not be successful.”
The national winners of the award will be announced at the Chamber Business Awards Gala Dinner on Thursday the 30th November, and one winner will also be crowned Business of the Year.
