Phoenix Rising in US

Phoenix, a leading global specialist recruitment firm headquartered in Dublin, has expanded into the US as part of its rapid expansion plans, launching its first office in New York City. The Irish run company raised a one-million-euro investment last year to help fuel its international growth plans.

Phoenix, which was first founded by co-CEO Ed Rossiter in 2018, offers specialist recruitment services to companies within the Tech, FinTech, Financial Services, and Professional Services sectors. The group has gone from strength to strength since its inception. It raised €1 million in 2022 and further expanded into three geographies, with offices currently in Limerick, Dublin, London and most recently New York. The Phoenix team’s first New York office is based in the iconic Chrysler Building on the East Side of Manhattan.

Joining the team in New York are Paul Molloy as Managing Director, and Kurt Kraeger as Senior Vice President, bringing a wealth of recruitment industry experience and expertise. Paul previously worked as a Senior Consultant in Morgan McKinley, Dublin, and subsequently, as the Head of Advisory & Consulting Recruitment at Taurus Search New York, before joining Phoenix. Prior to joining Phoenix’s NYC team, Kurt spent 22 years as Managing Director successfully building global search group Robert Walters’ NYC-based operation.

“This has been a tremendously gratifying milestone for the entire company,” said Ed Rossiter. “We are an Irish business with long-standing ambitions to go global – our journey over the past four years has been an incredibly rewarding challenge for us and it would not have been possible without the efforts of the entire team. We’re excited to bring Phoenix’s offering to the US, and continue working with the fantastic team we have set up.”

“While we are facing some challenging economic headwinds, there is still much room for optimism as the future of work continues to evolve, and the demands of employers and employees continue to shift. Phoenix looks forward to continuing to be on the cusp of these changes, helping companies scale to their full potential and global ambitions, while also continuing to grow ourselves as a business in the process. New York is just one step in our exciting plans for the future,” added Ruth Lyndon, Phoenix’s Co-CEO.
