Property & Built Environment recruitment specialist PRS has placed its first client-side Covid Protection Officer, to ensure the safety of the workplace, and support its client with the hygiene management of their office environment.
In a move which looks to manage the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the new role has been designed specifically to support the immediate and continual management of employees as they return to built and office environments.
The CPO will be responsible for managing and advising on aspects such as social distancing, temperature checks, and compliance. A role which is the first of its kind, the introduction of a CPO comes as PRS continue their support for clients and partners across the property and built environment sectors.
PRS Managing Director Julie Jarvis says: ‘Throughout the pandemic, we have been committed to offering support to our clients and partners, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff. We have begun to place a high number of hygiene stewards in offices, and introduced a more senior coordinator of stewards, and the new role of CPO to oversee these services was borne’.
Services for clients to face the impacts of COVID-19 offered by PRS include placing staff responsible for temperature checks, and chaperones to ensure that guidelines are followed, such as one way systems. Julie continues: ‘Whilst the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating in so many ways, we have seen a rise in new roles created, and are committed to supporting people in finding work, whether that be in testing, monitoring, or ensuring guidelines are followed’.
The new role of CPO, along with the placement of new roles in property & built environments allows PRS to continue their long-standing support for their sector, as the national workforce return to the workplace.
