DPD partner Evenbreak

Leading parcel delivery firm DPD recently announced they will be taking on an additional 6,000 people in response to the increase in demand for online shopping. This will involve a diversity of roles, and DPD are determined to attract a diversity of candidates too. They understand the benefits of employing disabled people in terms of accessing different skills, ideas and thinking styles, and are signatories to the ‘Valuable 500’ initiative (companies whose leaders have committed to putting disability inclusion on their business leadership agenda).

In order to embed inclusion and diversity widely so the whole company can benefit, they have formed a partnership with Evenbreak, a social enterprise helping employers to attract and retain more talented disabled people. All DPD roles are now advertised on Evenbreak’s specialist disability job board, and they are already attracting quality applications from disabled candidates.

Evenbreak will also be providing support to recruiters and hiring managers on making their hiring practices even more inclusive and accessible.
