Quanta, part of QCS Staffing, have announced that Stephen Trigg, founder and chairman has retired after 30 years and a MBO has been completed. The existing shareholders, Spencer Trigg and David Broome have acquired the remaining shares to have full 100 per cent private ownership. They both will remain as the company’s Joint CEO and will continue with their plans to scale their UK, European and US operations.
Joint CEO’s David and Spencer together hold over 40 years of recruitment experience with David being with Quanta for 21 years and Spencer, 18 years, will continue to lead and grow Quanta into continued success and ensure the values of the business remain strong while they do.
Stephen has been chairman since Quanta began in 1992 and has grown the business from one employee to 95. Stephen was named in the Top 100 Most Influential Staffing Executives by the SIA in 2019 and 2020 and successfully led the company in achieving multiple award wins over the years including the Queens Award for International Trade, the Princess Royal Training award, multiple Best Companies rankings and many more.
Spencer Trigg said: “What an honour it has been to work with my father over the past 18 years, I’m extremely lucky to have had the chance to do so! I want to thank him for the opportunity he took with me many moons ago.
“Post MBO, our business remains stable, secure and with a fantastic team we will continue to drive the business forward,” he added. “Through retaining full private ownership, this enables us to strategically pursue our business growth objectives in the EU, UK and US.”
David Broome said: “As the architect and founder of Quanta, we all have so much to thank Stephen for. He has contributed nearly 31 years of his life in creating an organisation which he should be so proud of. A values-based company, with headcount anticipated to exceed 100 in 2023 is nothing short of exceptional. Amongst so many highlights, what stands out to me personally having had the pleasure of working alongside Stephen for 21 years is his unwavering passion for our staff and the recruitment industry. For someone with nearly 50 years’ experience in our industry, I have never witnessed a drop in Stephen’s energy and passion for making a difference.
Today is a huge milestone in Quanta’s history and for all those who have had the pleasure of knowing Stephen, today we should celebrate not only his business efforts, but also for his personal lifetime values as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. I wish Stephen a continued lifetime of fun, I thank him for all that he has done for me personally, his impact on all our lives is huge and may the sun always be shinning in Portugal or wherever he enjoys his extended holiday!”
