New FCSA Member

Ship Shape Resources is the latest company to be accepted into the Freelancer & Contractor Services Association (FCSA). The employment and payroll specialist has been awarded accreditation for its umbrella employment services having passed the FCSA’s rigorous and thorough assessments.

Ship Shape Resources has been providing employment and payroll services to support contractors, agencies, and end hirers for 18 years. Founded in 2004 it provides expertise on numerous employment and payroll models, all with transparent systems and additional insurance protection for workers. The business offers services across all industry sectors, with professional employment, umbrella employment, self-employment and the payroll bureau, offering transparency throughout the entirety of the supply chain.

After an independent audit involving rigorous assessments of its umbrella and CIS services against FCSA compliance code, they join the membership body’s roster of over 70 members.

FCSA members are evaluated on their operations, processes, policies, and practices and they are regularly reassessed to ensure that they always stay within the FCSA’s compliance code. These regular checkups and assessments ensure that members continue to operate both professionally and ethically within UK tax, employment, and regulatory laws.

“As a company we focus on providing all end hirers, agencies, contractors and HMRC with a visibly transparent and compliant supply chain,” said Roy Beale, head of growth and partnerships. “These additional robust external audits and accreditations from the FCSA enforce and confirm our position even further.”

FCSA chief executive, Chris Bryce added: “I’m pleased to welcome Ship Shape as our newest accredited member.

“At the FCSA, we are committed to championing compliance across the industry, which is why those applying to join our membership body must pass a stringent assessment before they become accredited.

“We strongly believe that being able to demonstrate compliance is beneficial for both our members and the wider industry,” Bryce continued. “Having a greater number of compliant operators in the industry helps assure contractors, employment agencies and end hirers that they have a greater choice of ethical and compliant service providers available to them. This, in turn, helps build trust and transparency across the whole sector.”
