Experienced international recruiters will know that the obvious big markets, countries such as Germany, France and the United States will always offer opportunities. However, therein lies the problem: during tougher cycles these prime markets often become saturated. Many agencies and contractors head to the “safe bets,” and competition intensifies.

That’s why targeting less saturated markets for example Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia (outside the big-city hubs) may offer bigger upside. Infrastructure expansion, evolving regulatory regimes, newer procurement models, and less-crowded recruitment ecosystems all open windows.

You must research: local labour regulations, visa rules, tax and compliance burdens, cultural expectations, client procurement norms.
