AI-native tech hiring platform hackajob, an has launched a trilogy of AI voice agents whose autonomous actions have been designed to eliminate the admin that slows down tech hiring. Their impact is intended to free up talent acquisition (TA) teams to get back to doing what they do best: hiring the best people to fill roles and providing those people with a more rewarding, human-led experience.
According to the company, today’s TA leaders are facing a perfect storm – their teams have shrunk and their businesses are recruiting less, yet demand from employers to fill technical roles remains high – particularly where roles require AI expertise – and they’re handling a deluge of applications, many of which are nonsense or fake. It now takes 340 applications to make a tech hire (up 3.8x since 2021), and the number of AI roles is up 450% in the same period.
“Tech recruitment is a constant challenge,” agrees Andrew Groves, Head of UK Recruitment, at global technology and management consultancy, Capco. “The volume of applications can be very high, with quality varying widely. It’s a major drain on time, time we’d much rather spend giving the best talent the hiring experience they deserve.”
hackajob’s new AI voice agents – Chase, Archer and Thena – were built to address this issue. Chase interprets a hiring managers’ needs then sources, engages and qualifies tech talent that fits the bill, Archer converts more applications by inviting only the right talent to apply directly into your ATS (application tracking system) while Thena intelligently evaluates ATS applications to instantly identify best-fit candidates.
Last year, hackajob reimagined its entire platform infrastructure and matching technology, becoming one of the earliest recruitment marketplaces to embed enhanced AI capability. Today hackajob intelligence is the most sophisticated AI talent matching platform in the world, processing over 50,000 jobs and 100,000s of candidates since its release in July 2024. Using biometric screening, hackajob intelligence verifies candidates’ identities, reducing significantly the number of fake candidates entering the system. Crucially, hackajob intelligence has reduced the number of interviews required to make a hire by 68%, cutting companies’ OpEx dramatically at a time when employers are receiving almost record volumes of applications.
Mark Chaffey, Co-Founder & CEO of hackajob comments: “As a sector, recruitment was quick to look at AI and ask: how can this make our lives easier and our working processes better? But not all AI is created equal. At hackajob, we’ve spent the last decade building the largest dataset of first-party talent and hiring interactions in our space, investing in deeper automation and maintaining a crystal-clear focus on data quality and matching accuracy. These foundations mean our AI doesn’t just sound smart – it actually works in the messy, real world of recruiting.”
