Sellick Partnership achieves Menopause Friendly Accreditation

Sellick Partnership has achieved Menopause Friendly Accreditation in recognition of the work undertaken to create a menopause friendly workplace.

As a people-focused business, Sellick Partnership recognises that menopause and perimenopause can affect confidence, wellbeing and working life in different ways. The business also understands that support should not sit only with those experiencing symptoms directly.

Achieving the Menopause Friendly Accreditation demonstrates Sellick Partnership’s commitment to creating a culture where menopause is openly talked about, never treated as a taboo subject, and supported through practical action, education and understanding.

Established in 2021 by Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace, the Menopause Friendly Accreditation certifies high standards and proven practices and is an industry-recognised mark of excellence. To achieve accreditation, Sellick Partnership was assessed by an Independent Panel and demonstrated effectiveness across culture, policies and practices, training, engagement and working environment.

Sellick Partnership began this journey with training delivered by Henpicked, which reinforced that support does not need to be complicated to be meaningful. Dedicated management training was followed by wider sessions for all staff, raising awareness of menopause and perimenopause across the business.

This learning helped shape a number of menopause friendly actions that have had a positive impact across Sellick Partnership, including:

  1. A dedicated Menopause Project Team
The Menopause Project Team gave the work focus, accountability and momentum. The team has helped drive activity across the business, create resources, raise awareness and keep menopause support visible as part of Sellick Partnership’s wider wellbeing and inclusion strategy.
  2. Opening up conversations
The team has worked hard to normalise menopause and perimenopause as topics people can talk about openly and confidently. This has helped reduce stigma and encouraged colleagues to better understand how menopause can affect people at work and beyond.
  3. Providing practical resources, support tools and awareness initiatives
Sellick Partnership has created resources and guidance to help colleagues navigate menopause and perimenopause with greater confidence. These tools also equip colleagues to better support others, including friends, family, clients and candidates.
