Recruitment partner to the global Space economy, EVONA, have announced the appointment of Miles Hunt as Chairman.
Hunt has taken companies from startup to IPO in more than 25 countries in a career spanning more than 30 years. He is an active investor in the recruitment industry in the United Kingdom and Australia, currently serving as an advisor to a range of international staffing and human resources-related companies, including serving as Chairman for The Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo). Hunt has also been recently recognised by SIA (Staffing Industry Analysts) as a member of the Staffing Europe 100, a list of the top 100 staffing leaders in Europe, for a fifth consecutive year.
Hunt’s extensive experience in guiding companies through transformation, expansion, and high-growth journeys positions him to play a pivotal role in EVONA’s next stage of growth. His appointment strengthens EVONA’s leadership team alongside Steve Finder, former executive at SpaceX and Apple, and Evan Leser, founder and former CEO of ClearanceJobs.
“The appointment of Miles as Chairman is a defining moment for EVONA, and one we’ve been preparing for since we launched the company in 2018,” said Tom Kelly, co-founder and CEO of EVONA. “The rapid growth we’re seeing at EVONA and in the broader space and deep tech market is an incredible opportunity, and Miles is the perfect person to help guide us through this evolution.”
As the only recruitment partner focused exclusively on space and deep tech, EVONA has transformed over the past few years from primarily providing direct placement services to offering an innovative subscription model, as well as supporting early-stage founders in the space sector on business and hiring strategies.
With headquarters in Tampa Bay, Orange County, and Bristol, EVONA is scaling its global operations while continuing to deliver exceptional value for clients and candidates across the sector.
“From the moment I met Tom and EVONA’s group of founders, I knew I wanted to be a part of what they are building,” said Hunt. “The company has made excellent progress to-date and has great potential for the future. I have a deep passion for the sector and for supporting an organisation like EVONA who will play a significant role in shaping the workforce of tomorrow’s space economy.”
