Sellick Partnership is proud to announce that it has been ranked number one on the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Women 2023 list by Great Place to Work® UK. This accreditation, which highlights the dedication to creating an exceptional environment for women to thrive in their careers, is part of the company’s wider diversity and inclusion strategy.
The professional services recruitment company, which has also ranked as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ and one of the Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing, have implemented a range of initiatives to support every employee. Sellick Partnership has a 69 per cent female workforce, and 59 per cent of women in managerial positions, further highlighting that all staff have targeted leadership opportunities and a training approach that supports everyone individually.
Group director, Nikki Kinsey, said: “At Sellick Partnership, we firmly believe in the power and potential of women in the workplace. We have a workforce of extremely ambitious women, personally and professionally, and we want to support them to have both, creating a well-rounded life.
“I’m a working mum, and I’ve progressed through the business from the beginning. I joined Sellick Partnership as a consultant and I’ve worked my way through to the Board of Directors.
“We take our responsibility to diversity and inclusion very seriously and we are well aware that there’s still more we can do,” Kinsey adds. “We are never complacent and are always asking for feedback to help us improve. We believe our success is due to us not using a ‘one size fits all’ approach but identifying what is right for each individual. Women are very well represented and are supported with flexible working, to allow them to meet the needs of their families, as well as their own ambitions.
“However, something often overlooked is the element of choice. When it comes to workplace flexibility or the arrangements that companies are willing to implement, people should be able to have their voice heard,” she explains. “It’s not assuming that because a female member of staff has children, she must want to work from home three times a week. It’s about asking her what would work best under the individual circumstances – professionally and personally.”
Managing director, Jo Sellick, added: “We are incredibly proud of the strides we have made in fostering a workplace that enables women to thrive.
“Equity is not just a goal, it’s an unwavering commitment, and we understand that true equity extends beyond representation; it requires providing equal opportunities, supporting growth and eliminating barriers that may hinder progress. We will continue to pave the way for a more inclusive future, where individual potential is recognised.
“We want everyone to have equal access to opportunities, and shape the future of Sellick Partnership,” he concluded.
