Hanson Search Group has launched Hanson Executive, a new practice for international Board, C-suite and N-1 appointments. Katie Simpson, CEO of Hanson Executive, leads the practice, which builds on the senior appointments the Group has made since 2002.
Hanson Executive serves ambitious, high-growth organisations that require top-tier executive search. Many are founder-led or backed by private equity, and a good number are growing through acquisition. These businesses expect the calibre of candidate a global search firm would find, together with a senior partner who stays close to the process.
A senior partner runs each search and stays accountable from the first briefing to contract signing. Clients therefore deal with the same person throughout, whether they are shaping the brief or agreeing the offer.
Much of the practice’s work sits at executive committee level, from Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer to Chief Marketing, Communications and Technology Officer. Investor relations is also a key focus, with the team appointing leaders who manage a company’s relationship with shareholders and the financial markets.
Hanson Executive also handles Chair and Non-Executive Director mandates, along with the senior layer just below the executive committee. It works with clients in every sector, supported by specialist knowledge from across the wider Group.
Many of these searches are confidential, and the team often replaces an incumbent who is still in post. Nothing about a search is made public until the appointment is announced. Current clients include global private equity firms and leading management consultancies, as well as founder-led businesses growing through acquisition.
“Ambitious businesses deserve the same standard of executive search as the largest organisations, with a senior partner involved at every stage,” said Katie Simpson, CEO of Hanson Executive. “We’ve been making senior appointments across the Group for more than twenty years, and Hanson Executive brings that experience together in one place. For clients, that means one partner who knows the brief inside out and stays with it until the appointment is made.”
Katie has spent 14 years at Hanson Search, appointing communications and corporate affairs leaders at the most senior level. She now brings the same approach to Board and C-suite mandates across the Group.
