Global technology, professional and digital talent solutions provider Lorien, part of the Impellam Group, has appointed Annelise Smith as Managing Director for its fast-growing Managed Solutions business. Annelise steps up following seven years leading Lorien’s award-winning RPO and MSP portfolio of clients. She joins with 18 years’ industry experience, including eleven years specialising in the design, implementation, and delivery of complex outsourced recruitment models at Lorien and Guidant Global.
As Managing Director for Lorien Managed Solutions, Annelise takes on Lorien’s outsourced division at a pivotal time in its evolution, with rising demands from clients every year for managed solutions that can support digital transformation in an evolving market.
Lorien is one of the UK’s largest technology staffing brands. With tech talent demand currently at a 10- year high, organisations are increasingly turning to specialist recruitment organisations to support talent acquisition. Meanwhile, the global recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) market is predicted to grow by 18.5 per cent between 2020 and 2027 and Annelise’s new role will support Lorien’s further growth to capitalise on this buoyant market.
Annelise’s experience is also set to be harnessed across the wider Impellam Group. In addition to her role as Managing Director for Lorien Managed Solutions, Annelise will also be acting as subject matter expert for the Group’s broader strategy as it continues to build on its position as the UK’s largest staffing organisation.

Annelise was named as one of 150 female leaders in the recruitment industry last year by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) in its annual Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing list and she was recently shortlisted for Outsource Leader of the Year by APSCo Outsource Awards for Excellence.
