Simon Garbett has decided to retire after 25 years of starting and developing the TEAM network throughout the UK.
The new owners Simon Bliss Chairman, and Ian Nash Non-Executive, have some exciting and ambitious plans for the Recruitment Membership and Support organisation.
Simon has been a TEAM member for 9 years and as MD and major shareholder of Principal People before selling to the Juhler Group, a Scandinavian Recruitment organisation.
Simon Bliss commented:-
“TEAM have been instrumental in the success of Principal People; its network of suppliers, support groups, and open culture for sharing of great ideas and working together helped us develop our business from a small team of 4 to 37 when we sold. I am really looking forward to supporting our members achieve their own goals through our guidance, training and supplier network.
I would also like to thank Simon Garbett for allowing us this tremendous opportunity to give something back to the industry that I’ve worked in now for just 10 years. Simon did such pioneering work in networking with the industry and succeeded in developing a unique organisation whose culture and ethics match our own. I’m pleased to report Simon Garbett will be supporting us at least till the end of 2021 as a consultant to guide and help me further with the development of TEAM”
My fellow investor Ian Nash has a longer and significantly more successful career in Recruitment. Ian joined Michael Page some 30 years ago and rose to be CFO, before moving on to the same role with Robert Walters. Ian is now chair and non-executive to a portfolio of recruitment organisations in the UK and across the Globe. He is really looking forward to supporting the organisation with his vast experience in the industry and hopefully bringing in some new members from that portfolio too.
