Nominations in for the 2019 APSCo Australia Awards for Excellence.

The number of entries in the self-nominated section of the APSCo Australia Awards for Excellence programme have increased by 25 per cent this year. The increase has been welcomed by APSCo Australia’s managing director, Julie Mills who said that “with the judging panel in place I am so looking forward to the next step in the process including reviewing judges’ comments, shortlisting and the feedback from the moderating judges.”

Ms Mills added that, “the shortlisting for the individual awards, nominated by the Association, will be a highly contested process this year with a 50 per cent increase in completed Certification examinations from last year, increased participation in leadership activities and the opportunity to identify individuals who have supported the development of APSCo Australia initiatives across the company.

I am extremely proud that the APSCo Australia Awards for Excellence are part of a broader Global Awards programme across UK and Germany,” added Mills. “Our Awards programme provide the perfect opportunity for celebration, recognition and acknowledgement of companies and individuals who work to unlock the potential of the modern workforce.”

One of last year’s judges , Rae Bonney – a Board Member at the Australian Men’s Health Forum, said after the event that: “being a judge for the APSCo Australia Awards for Excellence (Health & Wellbeing) highlighted the many recruitment organisations that really care about how their people are feeling and taking positive action to support. The Awards are a great initiative as they are focussed on much broader concepts than business success. It was an honour to be involved.”

Julie Mills went on to say that ‘it is so promising to see the exciting initiatives developed by companies in this sector and their pride in delivering more than a solution for clients and candidates. In the case of individuals the awareness that knowledge of best practice, of self-improvement and of career advancement is essential in the career of a recruitment professional is truly setting new benchmarks for the sector and the industry as a whole.”

The 2019 APSCo Australia Awards for Excellence will be presented at the APSCo Australia Gala Dinner, to be held in Sydney on Thursday the 8th of August 2019. Keep an eye out for the shortlist of nominees which will be announced on July 3rd.

This year’s Gala theme is ‘The Great Gatsby’ which, in true Gatsby fashion, promises to be a classy evening, not to be missed. Tickets for the Gala Dinner are still available at https://www.apscoau.org/events/gala-dinner-2019.
