Partners& boosts its recruitment industry practice

Peter Stoll has joined Partners& as a Client Partner, focussed on the Recruitment and Umbrella Sectors. The move is in line with the Partners& strategy to attract top industry talent and develop its proposition in specialist vertical sectors. Peter will report to Jonathan Miller, Chief Client Officer and will strengthen the existing Recruitment/Umbrella practice run by Marc Ratcliffe and Danny Nield.

In a career that has spanned 45 years, Peter has developed unrivalled experience and a reputation for excellent client service, which he will bring to the recruitment practice within Partners&. His role will be to develop new business, manage existing clients and collaborate with Insurers, to create enhanced policy wordings that will deliver bespoke exclusive risk management solutions for clients in the sector.

Peter started his career as a claims handler, then an underwriter at Norwich Union in 1977 (which later became AVIVA), before setting up his own broking business in 1981. In 1998, he partnered with Manson Insurance Brokers, which became part of Jelf Group Plc in 2008. Since that time, Peter has led the Recruitment Division through the acquisition by Marsh McLennan in 2015, growing it to become a market leader with a team of 15.

On speaking of this next step in his career, Peter said, “I am delighted to be working with Phil Barton again after a gap of 10 years, especially as Partners&’s philosophy of putting clients at the centre of everything it does resonates with my own obsession with client satisfaction. My aim is to become the market leading supplier of bespoke insurance services, together with the wide range of Employee Benefits, Credit Insurance and Corporate Finance capability available at Partners&, to the Recruitment and Umbrella/Payroll Sectors.

“I have a real passion for what I do. I arranged my first insurance policy for a recruiter in Manchester in November 1981 and, have been working with the Recruitment and Umbrella sectors ever since. In that time, I have developed a great understanding of the issues facing the sector, so that I can advise and support clients though many legislative and contractual changes, such as JSL and ERB which are affecting their businesses today.”

Jonathan added, “We are committed to developing the best specialist industry practice proposition in the market, across a series of carefully selected sectors. Building on the great work undertaken by Marc and Danny, I believe Peters’ arrival, establishes the strongest team in the recruitment sector insurance and benefits market and, puts us in an enviable position as the leading advisors to this important sector of the UK economy.”
