Sellick Celebrates

Recruitment company Sellick Partnership has celebrated yet another record year with almost £115m turnover – 20%up on their previous financial year. The business, which has its headquarters in Manchester and offices in Liverpool, Leeds, Newcastle and Derby, documented a record turnover of £114,621,739 for the year ending 31 December 2023.

The achievement comes despite challenging market conditions that have pushed candidate wages higher in certain sectors, coupled with the demanding economic climate in the UK. Throughout 2023, Sellick Partnership continued to invest heavily in the training and development of all employees, as well as invest in new technology to make the hybrid working model they have adopted work as efficiently as possible for each member of staff.

The company have remained agile, adaptive, and focused on delivering value as an employer and as a recruitment partner. Boasting excellent statistics for repeat business from clients and candidates, Sellick Partnership takes pride in its unique approach in assisting with appointments across a number of niche specialisms.

Over the last 12 months, Sellick Partnership was recognised once again as one of the Best Workplaces™ by Great Place to Work®, as well as one of the Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing, and Women. In addition, the firm recently secured their Investors in People Gold re-accreditation, highlighting how they support and invest in their people.

Commenting on the financial achievement, Chief Executive Officer, Hannah Cottam, said: “2023 marked a pivotal moment for Sellick Partnership as we achieved exceptional success. Investing in a new IT infrastructure was, and will be, paramount to our continued growth and success for years to come and this will be a big focus throughout 2024.

“In addition to this, we continued with all our incredible in-house training, tailored to each member of staff and covering off different aspects of recruitment from purely sales-based training to companywide sessions on diversity, equity and inclusion, and stress management.

“Our record-breaking financial year highlights our unwavering commitment to innovation, client satisfaction, and developing the very best people,” she added. “As we celebrate this remarkable achievement, we remain firm in our dedication to empowering each and every person that walks through the door, supporting them towards even greater achievements in the years to come.

“However, none of this would or could have been possible without the continued support from our clients and candidates, many of whom we have built lasting and extremely valuable relationships with. I’m not surprised, but I am always grateful, that they continue to choose Sellick Partnership as their recruitment partner time and time again.”

Building on their successful year, Sellick Partnership is keen to grow beyond the existing office network, actively looking for a key acquisition in the South East to enhance it’s already established London offering.

Referencing this, Hannah said: “We have been looking to grow our presence within the professional services recruitment space. Most importantly, we want to work with a business that shares our values and ambitions, and having the right people join us is critical.

“We are excited about this, as it will give us a huge opportunity to continue to develop Sellick Partnership and focus on delivering a brilliant service for our clients.”
