Airswift, global workforce solutions partner for the STEM industries, has announced the launch of brand-new uplifting book – ‘Together We Rise’, co-authored by company CEO, Janette Marx.
Developed alongside fourteen other passionate members of the Lady Leaders Book Club – a group of high-flying professionals brought together by love of learning and a shared passion to uplift society amongst the unprecedented turbulence which has emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic. The text recounts inspiring tales of influential women, with each chapter offering unique, individualised insight into what it truly means to overcome hardship, stay afloat, and build confidence in the face of adversity.
Janette Marx, chief executive officer, Airswift said: “On International Women’s Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, we are thrilled to be able to share such an impactful series of stories.
“For me, this book has been a true passion project, dedicated to looking back upon some of the many core experiences that have shaped my life. Specifically, focusing on the importance of mindset, growth and resilience in successfully moving forward and achieving your dreams – whatever they may be.”
All sales proceeds are set to be donated to nonprofit organisations which focus on promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion of the underrepresented. The initial recipient is the American Staffing Association’s Women in Leadership Scholarship Program, which aims to raise the visibility of women in the staffing industry as well as provide scholarships that cover registration fees for high-profile industry events.
This project is the newest instalment in a series of many activist and philanthropic activities which Airswift’s senior executive team are involved with, including The Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce and The American Cancer Society’s CEOs Against Cancer. All which share the common goal of transforming lives through leadership, education, mentoring, and advocacy.
Marx adds: “It has never been more important to encourage people to own their power, support one another, and rise up to become the best possible version of themselves.”
