Oyster Partnership, a consultancy specialising in property sector recruitment, has been awarded the prestigious Employer of the Year: Gold by the renowned Investors in People organisation. With over 50,000 accredited organisations from 66 countries. IIP aim to help companies, leaders, and employees create an effective work environment.

The 2021 awards saw a record-breaking number of entries and Oyster Partnership are among the 17 per cent of IIP accredited organisations that received Gold status.

“We’d like to congratulate Oyster Partnership,” said Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People. “Gold accreditation on ‘We invest in people’ is a fantastic effort for any organisation, and places Oyster in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”

Since its inception in 2004, Oyster Partnership has grown to employ more than 60 people. The London-based company highlights their diverse workforce with an emphasis on meritocracy. As a company, they endeavour to keep their team motivated through an individualised approach and a positive office atmosphere. Oyster understands that happy and healthy employees are more productive and encouraged in their roles.

Hannah Clarke, head of people at the company commented: “We are thrilled to have won UK Employer of the Year, not only because we were shortlisted alongside organisations that we regard so highly, but because the award encompasses everything that we have been working tirelessly to achieve.”

The last 18 months have been challenging across all industries. The subsequent lockdowns have taken their toll on not only the economy but people’s mental health and overall wellbeing. This forward-thinking small business quickly took action to implement a strategy named Oyster’s Work from Anywhere Initiative. With a focus on flexibility and the needs of their team, Oyster has seen an increase in customer satisfaction provided by employees who feel supported and valued.
