Tempo, the video-based hiring platform, has announced exponential growth in 2019. The company’s customer base has grown from 800 to 2,300 organisations. Starling Bank, GoCardless, Bulb Energy and What3Words are some of the notable clients to have come onboard in 2019. In a recruitment market dominated by traditional suppliers, Tempo says it has positioned itself as a challenger brand and has become the go-to hiring platform for high growth businesses.
Expansion has not been limited to customers. As well as launching in Manchester, the company is now operating in Cardiff, Southampton and Milton Keynes, while their internal team has grown from 13 to 35. This physical growth also allowed its candidate base to grow from 25,000 to 65,000. The new locations mean they provide more people with the freedom to find the job they want.
Since their journey began in 2017, co-founders Ben Chatfield and Ollie Povey have always sought to demystify, streamline and accelerate the recruitment process through the use of technology.
“This year we’ve made serious progress in transforming the hiring process for both companies and individuals, reducing average time-to-hire to just four days,” said Ben Chatfield, CEO & co-founder. “We’ve grown every aspect of our business and have big plans for 2020. It’s been fantastic to have the support of some of the most exciting companies in the world.”
