Outsource UK have bought Bolton and Edinburgh based specialist recruiter RZ Group, formerly known as Recruitment Zone. The move comes as part of Outsource’s growth plan as the business spotted a natural cultural and market alignment between the two businesses, and an opportunity for Outsource UK to gain a Scottish presence.
“We are delighted to announce our new acquisition and look forward to exploiting the mutual benefits of bringing the two organisations together,” said Nick Dettmar, CEO of Outsource UK. “We share a lot of common traits with both organisations being contract-heavy providers of technology and change professionals in similar sectors. We, at Outsource, recently launched an extended suite of products and services that we are looking forward to sharing with our new customer base.”
Outsource UK was founded in 1991 by Paul Jameson. The company specialises in placing temporary and permanent talent with employers operating in technology, change and engineering. This acquisition will see the company move to operate out of seven locations nationwide and increase headcount to well over 100.
RZ Group has been working with clients with all recruitment needs and specialise in filling vacancies within the finance, technology, oil and gas and engineering sectors. Since founding the company in 1998, directors Andy Barton, David Bedford and Lisa Kwiecinska have grown RZ Group to a turnover of £27 million.
Commenting on the acquisition, Andy said: “We are all extremely proud of the business we have built over the last 21 years. Outsource is an excellent business and it was clear from our initial meeting that they were a very strong match for us. The newly-enlarged business is well set for the future, with significantly more client offerings, a wider geographical spread and lots of development opportunities for the staff.”

Following the sale, it has been confirmed that Andy and David will leave with immediate effect.
