A Midlands based recruitment specialist has once again been named as one of the very best companies to work for in the UK.
Macildowie has been ranked 23rd in The Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work For 2019 awards, marking the sixth year the company has made the prestigious list.
The awards are based on anonymous feedback from a survey of Macildowie’s employees, measuring key factors such as wellbeing, pay and benefits, personal growth and leadership.
The recruitment consultancy works across the region, employing 83 people in its offices in Nottingham, Leicester, and Milton Keynes. The team place human resources, accountancy, procurement, sales and marketing and supply chain candidates for a range of internationally recognised clients, including E.ON, Next, Boots and Speedo.
As part of its unique offering to staff, Macildowie offers top performers the opportunity to travel to New York and Las Vegas as a reward for exceeding their personal targets.
Commenting on the announcement, James Taylor, managing director at Macildowie said:
“As a business, we are all about our own people. We have a dream to become the best recruitment company to work for in the universe and that means two things – firstly, continually improving our employee value proposition, the factors used by the best companies to measure success, and, secondly, helping our employees to be the very best versions of themselves, so they come to work every day believing they are going to learn and grow. Having a happy, motivated and engaged team means that our customers will receive great service and enjoy the overall recruitment experience.
“We are immensely proud of the people who have made our business one of the best places to work in the country.”
Jonathan Austin, founder and CEO of Best Companies, which organises the awards, added:
“I would like to congratulate Macildowie on its achievement of a Three Star Accreditation status and being named as one of the UK’s Best Companies to Work for. Best Companies have been producing the Accreditation standard since 2006 to acknowledge excellence in the workplace. We are proud that organisations like Macildowie focus on their employees and have been rewarded with an engaged workforce who tell us that they’re a best company to work for.”
