Heidrick & Struggles, the global provider of executive search and leadership advisory services has announced two key leadership appointments in Europe. The announcements arise from Heidrick & Struggles’ ongoing commitment to taking a thoughtful approach to inclusive and diverse succession planning and providing meaningful professional development opportunities.
Alice Breeden will step into a new role as co-regional managing partner of the CEO & board of directors practice in Europe and Africa. She will work closely with Sylvain Dhenin to keep strengthening and positioning the CEO and board practice across the region. Alice Breeden will also continue to lead Heidrick consulting’s CEO & board and Team Acceleration Center of Excellence.
Commenting on her new role, Alice Breeden said: “I am very excited to step into this position. In my almost five years at Heidrick & Struggles I have thoroughly enjoyed working with boards and senior leadership teams on a wide range of talent advisory issues and to now be able to expand to more of Europe as well as Africa is a challenge I relish. This role, shared with Sylvain, allows us both to strengthen our one firm approach in the region for both executive search and consulting. The global war for talent has never been stronger and I am eager to keep supporting organisations in all their leadership and talent needs.”
Marie-Hélène De Coster, already partner-in-charge of Belgium, will take on the role of regional managing partner of the healthcare & life sciences practice in Europe & Africa. Marie-Hélène focuses on the global biopharmaceutical and medical devices sector leading CEO, C-suite and board assignments, from evaluation and assessment to a variety of talent projects, including executive search. Marie Hélène’s many years of experience and success in this space will aid her in leading this regional team.
Speaking on her announcement Marie-Hélène commented “I am thoroughly looking forward to leading the regional team and taking on new strategic challenges. The future looks extremely promising for the practice and I am eager to work with the team to take it to the next level. The European Healthcare and Life Sciences industry is at an exciting point and I can’t wait to utilise our collective experience to keep assisting our clients in their questions around talent at large.”
Along with a number of other senior appointments, Heidrick & Struggles further promoted 29 employees from executive search and Heidrick Consulting to principal. This is the largest Principal promotion class seen by Heidrick & Struggles in recent years. Each of these individuals demonstrates exceptional client service and commitment to the values of the organisation, while consistently delivering strong contributions to the firm’s growth.
