Twelve years seems like a long time when you say it, but for TJW Contract Solutions, the time has passed in the blink of an eye.
Since TJW’s incorporation in 2011, the umbrella sector has seen numerous challenges and changes. The Travel and Subsistence legislation of 2016, the Off-payroll working reforms of 2017 and 2021 and the Covid pandemic have all impacted the industry, and the issues of fraud and tax avoidance bring ongoing scrutiny to the sector.
Owner and Director of TJW, Tracey Williams, stated that “the renewed focus on tax avoidance schemes has reassured TJW and others in the umbrella sector that HMRC won’t tolerate tax avoidance and non-compliance. However, while welcome news, it’s also a reminder that there will likely be more changes and challenges to come.”
“Robust policing of the sector is the only way to address the constant undercurrent of tax avoidance schemes. For all umbrella companies striving to set the right example and offer a transparent and compliant service, stricter regulation and more expeditious action cannot come soon enough.”
TJW Contract Solutions – our journey is only just beginning
Looking ahead and taking inspiration from their commitment to compliance, Tracey and the TJW team continue to adapt and refine their Umbrella, CIS and Joint Employment payroll solutions to meet the demands of regulation in the industry.
A twelfth anniversary is a proud milestone, and there’ll be some celebrations to mark the date, but for TJW Contract Solutions, the journey is only just beginning.
