Acorn Group marks launch of new facilities service division VORSOR.
New initiative for further growth.
The Acorn Group has marked the official launch of its newest specialist division VORSOR Facilities Services, with a special event in Cardiff.
VORSOR Facilities Services has been created as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Acorn following continued expansion in the delivery of facility services and management contracts to an extensive range of blue-chip clients.
Mark Rudge, director of operations at VORSOR, said: “The decision was made in late 2018 to develop Acorn’s facilities services into a specialist division, enabling us to expand the offering further and allowing the team to provide a fully-tailored, specialist service to our growing number of facilities services clients.
“Now, after almost 12 months of hard work, we are in a position to officially announce VORSOR Facilities Services to the wider world and welcome on board a number of new clients.”
VORSOR Facilities Services employs a 250-strong workforce and manages multiple services at a variety of locations UK-wide. Staff and clients including Gestamp, Siemens and WEPA attended a special event held at Acorn’s Cardiff branch to mark its official launch.
“After 14 years delivering extensive facilities services and management contracts to an ever-expanding base of large-scale clients, forming VORSOR was very much the natural next step.” Justin Pugh, facilities services director, added. “With our head office in Newport, South Wales, we are now delivering facilities services UK-wide, totalling a combined value of activity in excess of £8 million.”
VORSOR remains a part of the Acorn Group, together with its other subsidiaries Acorn Recruitment, Acorn Rail, Acorn Global and Synaco (Australia), generating a combined turnover of circa £160m.
