Digital recruitment business hackajob has attracted leading industry figure Matt Holmes to the position of chief commercial officer. Founded in 2014 and aiming to eliminate unconscious bias in the hiring process, hackajob is an AI-powered platform specialising in recruiting for technology roles and currently has more live London-based technical candidates than LinkedIn in London. It uses its proprietary machine learning platform to support unbiased hiring of candidates based on pure skill, and supports technology giants and startups alike, with clients including Apple, Argos and Vodafone. It recently raised $6.7 million in Series A funding and Holmes is set to spearhead and accelerate hackajob’s UK and international growth.

Holmes joins hackajob from Impellam PLC, an international staffing specialist company, where he was of the managing director at onezeero, part of the Impellam Group. Holmes brings 14 years of industry knowledge to hackajob, specifically in recruiting for technical roles, as well as a huge personal interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning and science. With a full responsibility for hackajob’s UK, European and US expansion, Holmes will play a crucial role in advancing ambitious development plans across territories, supporting the company’s aim of being the number one platform for any company looking to fill a technical role.
