Re-election for recruitment industry expert

Louise Rayner CEO of NumberMill has been re-elected to the board of the FCSA. Rayner was previously an associate member of the FCSA and was the first associate board member to put her business through the organisation’s accreditation process demonstrating her commitment to compliance and her intention to lead by example.

An ACCA and IR35 qualified accountant, specialising in recruitment, Rayner has previously held board level positions at Adecco and Randstad. In 2015 she led the sale of an £80 million recruitment business which she part owned and of which she was managing director to Staffline Group. As MD of JSA she also put that company successfully through FCSA accreditation in 2012.

In establishing NumberMill four years ago she created an accountancy practice specialising in supporting recruitment businesses. During this period the company has had three HMRC inspections and gained a dispensation (no longer required) and a ruling, which have further demonstrated the business’ ability to operate compliantly.

Rayner says she will bring to her role at the FCSA a deep ground level knowledge of operating modes that exist within the sector, compliant and un-compliant – which she already actively share with relevant stakeholders including HMRC, REC and BEIS.

Having held board level positions in recruitment businesses both large and small she also says she will bring a great understanding of recruitment businesses and how they operate from an internal and buyer view point. Rayner is also promising to tap into the wide range of advisers she already consultant in order to allow a triangulation of views to bring to her new position.
