Recruitment giants announce apprenticeship success with Skillsfirst Assess.
First apprentices complete recruiting standards.
Skillsfirst Assess the UK’s leading assessment provider, is delighted to have carried out the first Recruitment Consultant and Recruitment Resourcer end-point assessments (EPA) in partnership with two of the country’s leading recruitment organisations; Randstad UK and REED Specialist Recruitment. As a result, the two organisations are the first in England to see their apprentices complete the new Recruitment Consultant and Recruitment Resourcer apprenticeship standards.
“We are delighted to be working with two of the UK’s largest recruitment partners, to deliver a genuine ‘first’ to market for apprenticeships and EPA in this sector,” said Fraser Ingham, sales and marketing director at Skillsfirst Assess. “Everyone involved in the delivery of this project has worked incredibly hard and the first results speak for themselves.”
The EPA (end-point assessment) is the final step for an apprentice, following an extensive period of on-programme learning, during which they must demonstrate that they have the knowledge, skills and behaviours to work in their chosen job role.
James Reed, Chairman of REED, added: “Providing industry-leading training is something that we aspire to deliver at REED. I’m delighted that our apprenticeship programme is now a key part of this and that we’ve had our first apprentices complete successfully and all with distinction.
“Apprenticeships provide an opportunity to study your chosen specialism whilst also gaining real-life work experience. I call apprenticeships “the no debt, no regret” route into the workplace. They’re a good way to learn new skills and at the same time to be paid for your trouble.
“Business and society should now embrace apprenticeships because they have the potential to revolutionise work for a great many people and for their employers.”
Speaking on behalf of Randstad, Graham Trevor, Randstad UK HR Director, concluded: “We’re incredibly proud to be officially recognised as among the first organisations to deliver this recruitment consultant apprenticeship standard. As the world’s number one recruiter, our employees expect robust, industry-relevant and best-in-class training and that’s exactly what our recruitment apprenticeship delivers.
“The 18-month course, delivered by our in-house learning and development team, propels career development, fulfilment and progression. As a trailblazer, it’s also crucial to highlight how apprenticeships can transform both training and business performance. In addition to employee engagement, retention and attraction, we’re already seeing the commercial value that this apprenticeship platform brings. It helps our recruiters to deliver the best possible service to our clients and candidates, ultimately driving productivity, profitability and sustainability.”
