Search acquires Aberdeen branch of Health & Social Care recruiter SCP.
Second acquisition in 12 months.
Search Consultancy has announced the acquisition of SCP Aberdeen, a specialist provider of healthcare recruitment in Scotland. Part of the City and County Healthcare Group – a UK-wide specialist in the delivery of high quality temporary and permanent staff to the NHS, Local Authorities and the charity sector – the business helps companies that provide support to people with care needs, allowing them to continue living independently.
Search Healthcare has been operating since 2004, growing to become one of the leaders in healthcare recruitment services, across both the private and public sector. Under the leadership of Healthcare managing director Lisa McLean, the business has grown its presence in Scotland, offering a range of staffing solutions for nursing, health and social care, as well as social work. The SCP team will join the Search Aberdeen office, adding further breadth to the healthcare offering already in place across Glasgow and Edinburgh. In 2017 Search started supplying nursing staff in Scotland after being awarded registration by the Care Inspectorate. The group believe its latest acquisition will strengthen its healthcare book, bolstering its expert team and positioning the business for future growth.
“This strategic acquisition is set to significantly enhance our ability to provide healthcare services to the market in Scotland,” said Lisa McLean. “The people and expertise will be a real asset to our growing division, and I am looking forward to working with those based there. SCP has values aligned to those of Search and we are looking forward to driving our healthcare business forward.”
Managing director of SCP, Caleb Atkins added: “Search is a company with great pedigree in the healthcare market and I am delighted that SCP’s Scottish candidate and client base will benefit from this expert team. Likewise, the larger Search group will benefit greatly from the knowledge and depth of expertise from the existing team who, I am sure, will only enhance the wider service.
“I am grateful for the support of our clients over the years and am delighted that we have been able to leave them in the supremely capable hands of Search Healthcare in Aberdeen,” he concluded.
