Search bolsters logistics, procurement & supply chain work.

Search Consultancy has appointed a new divisional manager to spearhead the growth of its new Birmingham office. Junead Zaman has joined the company from Mackenzie Jones, where he held the role of divisional manager of operations recruitment across logistics, manufacturing & engineering.

With a strong background in the sector, Zaman will work closely with recently appointed as managing director Jonathan Abell. His priorities will be recruiting colleagues to the Birmingham site and undertaking business development with supply chain and logistics clients and candidates.

Both the Midlands and the new specialisms of procurement & supply chain and logistics have been earmarked by Search for growth in 2020, with ten new internal roles to be filled throughout the year. Last week Search opened its 14th site in the city’s Snowhill complex.

“It’s an exciting time to be joining the business as it looks set to drive growth in the Midlands with a renewed focus on procurement, supply chain and logistics,” said Junead Zaman, who has also held roles at Michael Page. “I’m delighted to be part of this growth plan, helping to develop this new location as well as embarking on my own recruitment drive to bring an immediate three heads into the team.”

Jonathan Abell, Managing Director, said: “The Midlands is a crucial hub for organisations across procurement, supply chain and logistics, and our strategy is for Search to become a key regional partner for both businesses and candidates in the region.

“Junead brings a great deal of expertise to the role and we are looking forward to bolstering the team around him as we operate from our new office location and help the wider Search business continue with its growth strategy into 2020, strengthening in key markets.”
