Assessments made available for Australian market.

The UK assessments provider, Capp is set to bring its strengths-based assessments to Australian talent programs. Organisations in Australia can now access programs delivered by Capp, which help ensure workplace leaders have the tools and insights to make smart, evidence-led recruitment and performance decisions.“In an environment where leaders are battling skills shortages, culture challenges and technology changes, it’s essential that leaders have the ability to create an agile talent strategy that addresses business needs and serves them long-term. This means having a highly capable and engaged workforce,” says Lucy Zucker, head of client success, Capp.
Capp is a talent technology company that pinpoints the strengths, and people, needed for organisational success. Operating out of the UK for over 12 years, organisations including Microsoft, Nestle, Ernst & Young, Thomson Reuters and Barclays rely upon Capp to deliver programs that strengthen their future talent.

Following her conversations with Australian heads of HR, Ms Zucker believes there’s a huge opportunity for organisations to evolve their hiring and development processes alongside changing workforce needs.

“Too many companies have been assessing candidates against a list of generic competencies, such as communication or innovation. What they’re not doing is assessing candidates on their strengths; ones that support business success and the candidate,” continues Ms Zucker.

By identifying and attracting ‘can-do-love-to’ people – those who are not only able to do their job, but also love their job – means organisations can hire, or develop, the right people who will have a positive long-term impact on business outcomes.

According to Ms Zucker, considering skills and organisational fit in the context of market changes will drive better outcomes for everyone.

“We know that when people get to use their strengths, they are more engaged, happier, and are more likely to achieve their goals. Identifying and developing talent where strengths are utilised is vital, and a win-win for people and organisations,” adds Ms Zucker.

Capp data shows that organisations that leverage strengths as part of their talent programs are 50 per cent more likely to have lower employee turnover and 71 per cent more likely to have employees who are engaged at work.

“At a time where the demands of candidates are high, and the pressure to compete and remain relevant is constant, it’s essential leaders ensure their workforce capability is strongly aligned with business goals if they want to yield long-term business results,” concludes Ms Zucker.
