Cogs has promoted Damien Bell as the managing director for Hong Kong and Greater China. To further grow Cogs China’s client base and expand the company’s research hub in Shenzhen to a fully-focused recruitment team with sales and account management services. Bell was previously director of Greater China and Hong Kong, having started Cogs’ first Asian office in 2012. His immediate responsibilities are to strengthen the company’s position in the across the region by building a management team capable of understanding and meeting the recruitment needs of companies, by growing consulting and research capabilities.
Commenting on his new role, Bell said, “It’s been an exciting journey building Cogs Hong Kong. We set up our Shenzhen office focussed on research last year as part of our first steps into China. In the past year we’ve witnessed an increasing amount of Chinese companies establishing teams and business outside the country as well as a growing priority in digital transformation domestically. On top of the warm reception and increasing requests from Chinese businesses, expanding the service offering in Shenzhen is the natural next steps for us. Cogs is a global network that supports the international ambitions of our Chinese clients as well as their domestic hiring plans.”
In Cogs Hong Kong, Carrie Ho joins the team as associate director to focus and grow Cogs Hong Kong’s consulting team and margins. Ho, was previously associate director at Page Personnel where she worked her way up from joining as a consultant. During her five year journey with them, she proved her mettle as a team leader with commercial acumen and received three promotions and eventually rose to her last role. Cogs Hong Kong warmly welcomes such a driven and resilient addition to the growing family.
