Mclean Executive has launched in Hong Kong, headed up by Robert Mclean. The firm will be a legal search firm and focus exclusively on the Hong Kong market.
Joining the firm as head of research will be Barbara Zhan; an experienced and highly connected legal recruiter also based in Hong Kong. Having started their respective recruitment careers at Michael Page and Transearch, Mclean and Zhan crossed paths as members of the legal recruitment team at GRMSearch. Following GRMSearch, moving HQ out of Hong Kong, Mclean was joined by Zhan at iKas International to establish the firm’s first legal recruitment practice.
After a two-year spell at iKas International, both Mclean and Zhan will join forces again at Mclean Executive where they will be focusing on hiring lawyers for both the in-house and private practice markets.
Robert Mclean, managing partner, commented, “I am delighted to be launching the firm in Hong Kong within a competitive legal market. The idea is not to simply compete with the other legal search firms on the market but to offer a higher level of service to the lawyers who partner with us. Many firms on the market simply fill vacancies with candidates and move onto the next vacancy. We aim to provide genuine career advice to the lawyers we partner with and continue utilising our network for them until we are able to place them in a role which will genuinely progress their career.”
